David WhiteEDIT (2014): This webpage is no longer being maintained. I am now an assistant professor at Denison University, and my new webpage can be found here.

Previously, I was a graduate student in the math department at Wesleyan University, studying under the supervision of Mark Hovey.

My research is in the area of algebraic topology, specifically questions involving localization and model categories. My work has applications to the theory of algebras over operads, equivariant homotopy theory, and motivic homotopy theory. For more information please visit my "Research" page.

I received my Masters in Computer Science from Wesleyan in 2012, under the supervision of Danny Krizanc. My thesis problem applied methods of discrete mathematics and probability theory to settle a conjecture involving autonomous agents moving on a graph.
